To call Jacob Jensen band the world`s number one music group consisting of mentally disabled musicians is a major statement but there must be a reason why since 1989 the band have been invited to Japan and Greece 3 times, Russia, The Faroe Islands and The Czech Republic, twice and Sweden, England, Poland, Hungary, Holland and Portugal once plus many tours to the bands close neighbours Germany. In Denmark the band have an average of 50 gigs a year.
What has made the band such a major interest, first and foremost must be the very high musical standard, followed by the fact that the band perform without the assistance of music teachers or social workers and have recorded 5 Cds of original numbers under the name Popcorn and one CD released in 2008 of famous Danish rock classic`s with Jacob Jensen band.
Since 2002 music has been the bands full time job so now along with writing and performing their own and other`s numbers the next step is to learn how to record and mix, this is now possible as they now have their own recording studio making a CD concept possible, not only for themselves but also other mentally disabled bands.
