Michel Reynaud's credo, for already thrity years, is to " bring disabled persons to light ". At the age of 18, his meeting with disabled children has drastically changed his life in the sense that he questioned himself on the mean to help these persons. His answer was the theatre .
" Any artistic work is a sharing vector with disabled persons as with any other person."
Michel Reynaud never stops militating in favor of the recognition by the administration of the Disabled's artisctic works in the same manner as for traditional artistic works.
" ORPHEE European Festival is not for the medias but is a new cultural space which aim is to show that the Disabled should not be held away for artistic works. Difference comes from the oher's judgement."

Her sister being handicapped, Rachel Boulenger-Dumas has been involved in the action in favor of the Disabled for quite a long time. Well-known player, for the first time she is creating a link between her two passions. When you are a player, you are looking for the new, when you are close to the Disabled, the others become more important than yourself. "One day, someone knocks at your door and you open it".
In 2003, Michel Reynaud proposed to Rachel Boulenger-Dumas to create together the European Festival "T heatre and Handicap". Rachel Boulenger-Dumas cannot decline as she feels life is finally bringing what she had been for so long searching for : disabled artists become her friends and she will do anything in her power for them. |
