In 1996, A BOUT' SOUFFLE was born: originally numbering 7 members, the group now counts around 15 musicians hailing from Liège, Namur and from the Ardennes. Most of the group's repertoire consists of original compositions, drawing on free jazz, swing, rock and rap.
The ensemble has given more than a hundred performances in concerts and parades in Belgium and abroad since its creation. Its performances, notably at the US embassy, the Rossignol Jazz Festival and many other arts events have clearly proved that there is no "stopping BREATHLESS"!!
'A BOUT' SOUFFLE is officially recognized by the Tournées Art et Vie (Culture Department) of Belgium's French-speaking community ministry.
