ABOUT THE CRÉDIT COOPÉRATIF FOUNDATION
The Crédit Coopératif Foundation was formed in 1984 and, in 1992, became a corporate foundation ("Fondation d'entreprise").
From day to day, the Foundation reinforces, through its initiatives, the values which underlie and characterize Crédit Coopératif's historically original approach within the banking sector: sharing, sustainable commitment, social involvement and local actions .
The Foundation's projects fit perfectly with the ethos of the Crédit Coopératif Group, the bank of the social economy, and of social involvement.
The Foundation's projects can be divided into six main areas :
- promoting initiatives of social sector businesses,
- working towards disabled people's full participation in society,
- supporting research into and knowledge of the social economy,
- promoting action through the arts,
- developing international links , in particular through micro finance,
- implementing strong new regional partnerships.
The Foundation's board of directors , chaired by Jean-Claude Detilleux, Chairman of the Crédit Coopératif Group , is made up of individuals and of organisations from the social economy with links to Crédit Coopératif.
